Most of us are familiar with the saying “when it rains, it pours”, meaning one problem comes after another.  After dealing with last weeks snow, this week I  encountered heavy rain. While driving to my destination in the  rain, I discovered that I didn’t have an umbrella, and I was going to get very wet. I didn’t have a choice, so I got out of my car and completed my business transactions. On the drive home, I thought to myself and said ” this is just like life”.  In facing situations in life when it rains, it does pour down and the problems keep on coming. If I only had an umbrella, I would not have gotten as wet because it protects us from the rain. If we could be that umbrella for a community, congregation, and crisis situations, then people would not get as wet because we have sheltered them from the rain. Do You have an Umbrella?
